Every Story Creatures adventure is hosted by Bramble and Fable — the best of friends, and opposite in every way. Here's who you'll meet.
Red panda · Lives in the old library stump
Bramble is warm, wise beyond her years, and slightly bookish. She always has a storybook nearby. Every episode starts with her saying "Hello, friends — I'm Bramble!" with genuine enthusiasm, and ends with her summarizing the moral in a way kids can actually hold on to.
Bramble likes quiet mornings, reading out loud, and asking questions like "but why did that happen?" She's the one who understands the lesson first — and then helps Fable (and the viewer) see it too.
Fox kit · Lives wherever he last put his blanket
Fable is curious, slightly impulsive, and asks the questions every kid would ask. He bounces more than he walks. He reacts to the story the way a child does — gasping at danger, giggling at surprises, worrying out loud when a character is stuck.
Sometimes Fable gets the moral a little wrong at first. ("So… be nice to lions?") That's on purpose — it gives Bramble a reason to gently correct him, which means the viewer hears the real moral twice, in two different ways.
Best friends. Opposites. A team.
Bramble thinks. Fable feels. Bramble reads. Fable runs. When a story gets hard, Fable worries out loud — and Bramble finds the sentence that makes it make sense. That's the whole Story Creatures format, in two characters.
Every fable brings its own characters into the Story Garden. Here are some you'll meet.
Fox & Grapes
A clever fox who tries, and tries, and tries to reach a beautiful bunch of grapes. Teaches that sometimes what we can't have is easiest to dismiss.
Lion & Mouse
The biggest animal in the forest — and the one who learns that size doesn't decide who can help whom.
Lion & Mouse · Town Mouse & Country Mouse
Small, quick, and surprisingly brave. Appears in two stories — once as a tiny hero, once as a pair of very different cousins.
Tortoise & Hare
Small, round, and cheerful. Walks at exactly one speed: his own. Wins by finishing.
Tortoise & Hare
Tall, fast, and very proud of it. Learns the hard way that being fast doesn't help if you stop running.
Dog & His Reflection
A happy little pup with a bone — who almost loses it reaching for a second one he didn't really see.
North Wind & Sun
Powerful, proud, and certain he's the strongest — until a gentler rival shows him what strength really is.
North Wind & Sun
Warm, patient, and quiet. Wins by being kind. Our favorite kind of strong.
Our littlest line, Story Sprouts, has its own recurring stars. First up: Ro and her little racecar, Red.
A small girl who loves things that go fast
Ro is curious, kind, and always on the move. Cars, trucks, trains — if it zooms, Ro loves it. When she finds a dull little car stuck in the mud, she doesn't see junk; she sees a friend waiting to shine. Ro is the heart of every Story Sprouts book, and she anchors the line the way a mascot does.
A tiny toy racecar with a big heart
Red starts out dull, dirty, and forgotten in a puddle — until Ro washes him until he gleams bright red. Renamed and brand-new, Red turns out to be the fastest little car around, winning race after race. And when Red wobbles in the big race, Ro's cheer is all it takes to zoom back to the front.
